Here We Go....

This post is pretty unimportant to everyone except my relatives that check my LJ. Feel free to skip.

STORM

I hear the wind whoosh through the glade,
And the leaves’ rustling dance.
I hear the twittering birdsong fade,
And I surrender to the trance.

The heavens open to a thunder crash
The rain, in rivulets, pours
In the distance - a lightening flash
And yet more thunder roars.

Howling like a beast in pain
The wind shrieks across the dell
Fighting the beating of the rain
I hear a far-off voice yell.

My mother orders her child home
And I heave a heartfelt sigh
I am old enough to roam
But I hasten to comply.

Inside, I slam the door against the gale
And click the latch with force
My mothers’ worried face is pale
I groan with quiet remorse.

To put my mothers mind at ease
I take a towel from the shelf
To appease her sensibilities
I start to dry myself.

That done, I sit before the fireplace
My mind wanders all the more
I let the crackling flames warm my face
And listen to the tempest roar.

Something about wailing squalls
Really sets my soul alight
Even after my mother calls
And I am home safe for the night.

LOL
I forgot to put the title under the cut XD
I should have known nearly everyone on my f-list would be:
O_O ....Storm = Arashi
ROFL

Actually, I wrote this YEARS before I knew anything about Arashi, but looking at it now, I suppose it could be a metaphor for my current obsession with them.

Anyway, nothing really new or interesting is happening with me. Just the same old stuff. My writing is going a lot slower, but that's OK. It's like taking a mini-vaction.

What about you? How is everything in RL?

Well, after the EPIC longness that was Spiral, I kinda feel like I need to go more slowly or I'll burn myself out. :/

Celebration? Oooh, what did I miss? I've only kind of been on the fringes of LJ lately myself. You know, just sort of popping in and out.

PS: I'm still thinking about the junohmiya, but I'm having a bit of a mental block on what sort of situation to put them in. Any ideas?

[identity profile] zukkoke-iero.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 10:54 am (UTC)(link)
Hahaha, take your time, hun...
>,>

Uh,,, it's Eid Mubarak... for moslem... ^^
like xmas maybe... have to meet with relatives and such...
it takes alot of time... hahaha but it's fun! XDD

Oh... Uh...
Lately... i kinda... think about... Ohchan as prisoner... and Nino is policeman... and... maybe you can have Jun accompanied Nino,,, and... guarding that cute prisoner,,, Ummm...
well just an idea... XDDDD

[identity profile] amh1988.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 11:05 am (UTC)(link)
Ah, family holidays. I love them and they're fun, but they really do take up a lot of 'fangirling' time, huh? ;D

Oh, prison? Like good-cop/bad-cop and Ohno the helpless victim wrongly imprisioned? AWESOME! Even if I don't have it based in prison literally I can use that as a base for the roles. In fact, even if I don't have it as AU, I could still use it. Think: "House-Arrest".

Jun and Nino are worried that Ohno is spending TOO much time fishing. (They'd rather he went back to art, at least until his tan fades a bit more) So they decide to make sure he can't leave the house on his day off. And they come up with some very compelling ways of keeping him occupied. XD

[identity profile] zukkoke-iero.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 11:21 am (UTC)(link)
hahaha...
not wrongly... he's just looking so innocent that the cops cant believe him commit a crime... they need to prove it somehow...? LOL
and the investigation... uh... they... *wild imagination*
hahahaha...
HOUSE ARREST!!! that is! LOL...
but it's just me maybe... fic that mentioned Ohno's tan and everyone's trying to stop him in aniwei,,, lots of them...?
but, hey, you can add another condition, beside his tan... like... he's sick, but this month is this fish month... and no matter what Ohchan has to go catching this damn fish... and there, nino and jun make a move... XD
again... just an idea... it's all up to you, hun... ^^
I always enjoy your fics after all...

*afjhuaguirg fjdaj ARGH! Internet connection is spazzing*

I could probably do it without mentioning his tan or fishing at all. I just need a moment to come up with a valid (not over-done) reason....

*...1 minute later...*

GOT IT! Ohno has been receiving SALKER! like, threatening letters from a raving fangirl. He didn't tell anyone, but Jun and Nino found out. Ohno had planned to meet Stalker!fan in person to ask her to stop but Jun and Nino know that isn't safe. They have to keep Ohno 'distracted' until their management calls and tells them that Stalker!fan has been found and arrested.

But trying to keep Ohno's attention can be difficult... so they resort to buttsecks XD

The problem with the "In Prison" one, is that I'll never be able to think of a crime that Ohno would actually commit. (Unless you count: Criminally cute and talented.)

Oh...it's a poem??
I'm really bad at poem...well, basically, I'm bad with art, hahaha XD

[identity profile] amh1988.livejournal.com 2009-09-24 10:48 am (UTC)(link)
Yeah, poems. Don't worry, I only posted it because it's coming to the end of the year and it's time for my mother to start collecting bit and pieces from her children for the end of year family newsletter thing. (It's a looooooong story)

This is my conribution this year. No one in my family will notice that I wrote it several years ago.

[identity profile] amnosxmatsujun.livejournal.com 2009-09-25 07:34 pm (UTC)(link)
You know I'd read it no matter what, right? ;)

I can see this event taking place before my eyes. Considering you are from a large family, I can only imagine what it was like for your mom, finding one of her children out in the storm (if this actually happened, that is).

When I write poetry, I have to challenge myself to rhyme schemes because I enjoy alliteration and internal rhymes more. A-B-A-B per stanza is harder for me to write. o.O This rolls off the tongue, as it should. <3

[identity profile] amh1988.livejournal.com 2009-09-26 03:40 am (UTC)(link)
I can probably safely say that something like this may have happened a time or elevnty. We were an idependent, stubborn brood, but I don't think any of us were ever really that lyrical about getting wet and cold in the rain. XD

To be honest, I haven't written any new poetry in a while. When I read poem, I always prefer internal rhyme schemes myself. Sadly, I can rarely make it work for more than one verse. I'd love to be able to pen something like "The Raven" someday though.

I actually love the rain and have, on multiple occasions, danced in it. Same with snow. <3

Oh, are you a fan of Poe? My favorites are mostly all from Victorian literature. ^^
